“A NEW sensory playground – complete with a zip line for children with disabilities – has been installed at the Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre.
The three-stage playground redevelopment by Moreton Bay Regional Council is being supported by community donations.
Moreton Bay councillor Adrian Raedel (Div 12) said the playground had been designed with all children in mind, regardless of abilities.
“Both the Inclusive Orbit and the Zipkrooz are suitable for children of all abilities, meaning those in wheelchairs or with restricted mobility can share in the fun,” he said.
“In fact, the Zipkrooz is the first zip line of its kind in the whole Moreton Bay region and I can tell it is going to be very popular.
“There are also sensory gardens for children and their parents to explore and some lovely new landscaping, which all together makes for a truly pleasant and fun environment for the whole family.”
The new play equipment was installed as part of phase two of the playground redevelopment.
Phase three is set to begin this year.
“This playground is really going to be out of this world when it is finished,” Cr Raedel said.”
